Looking for homescreens for your Windows Mobile 5 QVGA Smartphone? Check out this article for homescreens created by Ruwebit.
The homescreens on this page is tested on a QTek 8310 (with an I-Mate SP5 ROM to be exact), but should also work on other Windows Mobile 5 QVGA (240x320) smartphones.
Usage
Installation
When re-installing a homescreen, first uninstall the previous one!
These are the steps to install:
Your device needs to be aplication unlocked
Download the zip and extract it
Copy the cab file to your device (through ActiveSync or cardreader)
Run the file on your device
Install it in memory
Wait until installation has completed and your homescreen has changed, then shut your device off and on
Always use the default background for the homescreen, but you can always edit the XML file to your needs.
Uninstallation
To uninstall the homescreen:
Go to Start menu - Settings
Select 4-Homescreens
Change the homescreen to a standard one
Go to Start menu - Settings
Select 8-Remove programs
Select the homescreen to remove
Shut your device off and on
I used W411y's tutorial about making homescreens and CAB-files on the Modaco forum as a reference.
Oranjeboom
Oranjeboom means 'Orange Tree' in Dutch. It's also a beer brand (I don't drink that brand, gives me headaches, I like Grolsch better). The photograph is made by Paul Sveda and I have his consent for using his image.
Affected screens:
Banner with 'Smartphone' text
Homescreen
Start Menu
Dial screen
Call history
Call alert
Used plugins:
CellProfileSwitcher
I used the 'wifi' statement to show to which wifi network the phone is connected.
I'm not sure if this statement is avaiable in all ROMs. At least it is in the latest I-Mate SP5 Rom.

Liefebees is how Lady Bug is called by a 2-year old Dutch. The macro photograph is made by Paul Sveda and I have his consent for using his image.
